Main Areas
I will be looking into the overall style of Pixar films, with 'Toy Story' being my focus, the elements of style I have decided upon researching are the themes and values, the characters and the visual style.
Project Title
My project title is now "Can Pixar's signature style explain its success?"
I am going to present how Pixar's prevalient popularity is linked to the style of films they produce.

Further Elaboration
I have watched pixar's collection of films now in order to grasp a better idea of their signature,
From thought it would seem that Pixar has actually added references to other films in their entire collection in order to imply that the films all cohabit within a contained universe, such as the ant hill in 'A Bugs Life' and the Sea life in 'Finding Nemo' all being part of the same world that the characters from such films as 'Toy Story' and 'The Incredibles' all live in.

Initial Ideas
Being a fan of computer generated/animated films, i watch them quite avidly, recently upon watching my collection of 'Pixar' movies again i had noticed quite a few reused objects and jokes.
I am going to watch each film again and note the recycled objects.
From first glances it appears that the most common would be the 'Luxo' ball, a direct reference to one of their first animated cartoons which centers around a small ball.
I have found this in 'Monsters Inc.' and 'Toy Story 1 and 2', so far.
Thus my research continues.
